Ahmed Janahi joined Mumtalakat in 2007 and currently holds the position of Senior Director, Private Markets, Global Asset Management. In his current role, Ahmed supports the overall implementation of Mumtalakat’s investment strategy and leads private markets investments across all private markets asset classes and strategies including private equity, private debt, real estate, infrastructure and real assets. He further oversees existing co-investments of Mumtalakat internationally.

Prior to Mumtalakat, Ahmed worked for several years at Bapco as a Senior Engineer – Planning and Economics in the International Market division. Ahmed holds an MBA with honours from the University of Strathclyde, Graduate School of Business, Glasgow, and a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kuwait.

He also serves on the boards of companies such as Cranemere Group Limited, Gulf Hotels Group, Southern Tourism Company and ARC Logistics.
