The High-Level Coordination Committee of Deputy Heads of Sovereign Wealth Funds of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Member States held its third meeting in the Kingdom of Bahrain on Monday, 21 September 2026. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Khalid Taqi, Managing Director of Local Investments at Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company, with the participation of Mr. Khaled Ali Bin Salem Al-Senaidi, Assistant Secretary-General for Economic and Development Affairs at the General Secretariat of the GCC, as well as representatives from all GCC member states.

The meeting follows the directives of the Al-Ula Declaration, issued by the GCC Supreme Council at its 41st session, to promote joint projects and the localisation of Gulf investment. It also follows the decision of the GCC Ministerial Council at its 164th session, held in the State of Kuwait in June 2025, which approved the mandate and responsibilities of the High-Level Coordination Committee of Deputy Heads of Sovereign Wealth Funds, or their equivalents, in GCC member states.
